Membership By-Laws
 
1. LAMBA Members have the following rights:
MBA members
1.1 To be appointed as Members of the Board;
1.2 To have access to all services and events offered by LAMBA;

Professional members
1.3. To have access to Professional-only services and events offered by LAMBA;
1.4. MBA and Professional members have the right to vote and the right to be represented at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Special Meetings (SM).

2. The obligations of the Members of LAMBA are:
2.1. To attend and intervene at the (AGM) and (SMs);
2.2. Exhibit a professional conduct when participating at any LAMBA event;
2.3. Respect other LAMBA Members’ private information;
2.4. No soliciting is permitted in LAMBA events; personal information obtained through business cards or personal contact at LAMBA events is for personal use only and no spam/sending unsolicited information is permitted;
2.5. Abide by these By-Laws and decisions taken by the Board, the AGM and SMs;
2.6. Timely pay ordinary and extraordinary Membership fees and any other monetary obligations due in favor of LAMBA when required;
2.7. To diligently perform the duties and assignments entrusted to them by LAMBA through the Board, the AGM and SMs;
2.8. Attend AGMs and SMs when required.

3. Quality of Membership
3.1. The quality of being a Member of LAMBA may be revoked by motivated decision adopted by the Board. The Board, based on these By-Laws and its own judgment, shall decide when a Member has lost his/her quality as LAMBA Member. The quality of being a Member is also lost, whenever the person declares, by written consent, his/her decision to voluntarily be removed, or if the person permanently leaves Canada.

4. Privacy Policy:
4.1. Collection of information
4.1.1. LAMBA may collect personal data, including but not limited, name, graduate school, class, country of origin, title, company, address, telephone number, email address and other personal information as part of the verification process for new members and/or as a pre-requisite to gain access to, use and/or enjoy the benefits and services provided by the Association.
4.1.2. The information collected will be used by LAMBA to promote the integration and professional development of all its members within the frame of its principles and values.
4.2. Member's consent
4.2.1. Before any data is collected member’s consent will be requested. Providing information will be optional. However, not providing may limit the access to the services and support provided by LAMBA.
4.2.2. Disclosure and transfer of personal data
Personal information will not be disclosed for purposes other than those for which it has been collected. LAMBA will not sell, trade, or disclose to third parties any identifiable or contact information derived from registration, sign ups or mailing lists.

5. Accuracy and Integrity of Information
5.1. LAMBA will make every effort to ensure that your information is accurate and up to date. However, it is the responsibility of each member to ensure that the information provided is true and precise.
5.2. LAMBA will provide its members with the necessary means to access their personal information and exercise their right to request any changes and amendments as it may apply.

6. Security
6.1. LAMBA will make every effort to ensure that your personal information and any other "sensitive" information are properly protected regardless of where the information is located.
6.2. The association will take every reasonable step to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, since personal information is gathered through the web and or by e-mail and electronic means are not considered 100% secure (as per the global and open nature of the Internet and the possibility of interception of telephone and data communications), the Association cannot guarantee that such situation will never occur.
